Dr hab. Piotr Wasylczyk is a professor at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw and a research fellow at the University of London. He studied (mostly physics) in Warsaw, Uppsala, and Amsterdam. Apart from the University of Warsaw, he also worked (most often as a physicist) in Oxford and Florence. After many years of building lasers and inventing new methods of measuring laser pulses, he started producing structures with interesting optical properties using 3D printing on the nanoscale and constructing microrobots inspired by living creatures. He was a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science and a finalist of the Polish edition of the Fame Lab competition in 2016.
Unable to endure boring and incomprehensible speeches at scientific conferences, he began teaching the art of presentation, first at the University of Warsaw, then also at other universities, in student research clubs and high-tech companies in Poland and abroad.
