Dr Piotr Wasylczyk is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw and visiting lecturer at the University College London. He studied (mostly physics) in Warsaw, Uppsala and Amsterdam, apart from the University of Warsaw, he also worked (most often as a physicist) in Oxford and Florence. After many years of building lasers and inventing new methods of measuring laser pulses, he began to manufacture structures with interesting optical properties using 3D printing in the nanoscale and construct microrobots inspired by living creatures. He was a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science and a finalist of the Polish edition of the Fame Lab competition in 2016.
Unable to endure boring and incomprehensible presentations at scientific conferences, he began teaching the art of presentation, first at the University of Warsaw, then also at other universities, in student research clubs and high-tech companies in Poland and abroad.
