Zuzanna Skalska

 

Professional experience:

She’s a professional trends analyst in the field of widely understood innovations, design and business. Her research is concentrated on searching mutual intertwining of industries and businesses. This very different perspective is a big chance for the brand and the enterprise. It is also a value added in the process of building scenarios of future, development strategy and new business models pr new solutions in the field of products and services. 360Inspiration company serves clients around the world.

She was born in Warsaw but has lived in Netherlands since 1992. She studied at Design Academy in Eindhoven and at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in Den Bosch. After graduating studies in 1998 Zuzanna Skalska started her professional career as a Sensorial Trend Analyst at company strategy department of Phillips Design in Eindhoven. In 2001 she joined the VanBerlo team where she was responsible for creating the trend department and implementing them into the project processes in industrial design. In 2007 she committed to the 360Inspiration which became an independent company in 2014 supervised by Zuzanna Skalska. For over 7 years she’s been a member of the board of the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven (DDW). Today, she holds a position in an advisory board. Zuzanna was awarded with numerous, prestigious deign prizes (Red Dot and IF Design Award).  But for her the most valuable prize was the one received from the local society – 6. place in the 50 most influencing women in the city Einhoven and the region ranking and the title of the Expat top 10 – people who contributed to the city development in the field of technology, knowledge, economy and design.

Since 2006 Zuzanna has been a lecturer at University of Technology in Eindhoven in the industrial design department. She also gives lectures at Parsons The New School in New York. She is often invited as a committee member to various international innovation and design contests.

Zuzanna Skalska together with Li Edelkoort and Piotr Voelkel is a co-creator of the new higher school of design, School of Form in Poznań, Poland.
