„Navigating the Complexities of International Research Collaboration”| Dr Sandar Win | 18.11. 2025 | 5:00 PM

On 18 November 2025, the next webinar in the Inspirational Lecture Series will take place „Navigating the Complexities of International Research Collaborationled by Dr Sandar Win.

Dr. Sandar Win is a Head of Division at Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University. She is also an academic with significant experience leading international research projects with a strong focus on Southeast Asia. She is the Principal Investigator of a British Academy-funded initiative building research management capacity in Thailand through collaboration with Prince of Songkla University. She previously led a Cherie Blair Foundation project in Indonesia, Myanmar, and Vietnam on mobile services empowering women entrepreneurs, with outcomes later adopted by Qualcomm. Additionally, she has worked with Adam Smith International on enterprise capacity building in Myanmar and contributed to research on financial inclusion, governance, and development across the ASEAN region.

The lecture will focus on:
• Strategies for preparing, networking, identifying and approaching international research collaboration opportunities.
• Practical insights into building sustainable partnerships across borders for high quality research publications and research funding applications.
