
For nearly 30 years she has been involved in the education and lifelong learning sector. A long-serving CEO/MD in Poland and at the regional level (CEE & EMEA) in leading global and Polish educational companies. Business Advisor, Mentor, and Business Angel. A passionate advocate of lifelong learning, convinced of its importance in creating new opportunities at every stage of life. She graduated from the Faculty of English at the University of Warsaw and participated in the EMBA program at Edinburgh Business School.
In 1995, she undertook the task of establishing the Polish branch of Oxford University Press, which she led for over 7 years. From 2002 to 2016, she was associated with Pearson Group (FTSE 100), the world’s largest education company. As Pearson CEO for Central Europe, Russia, CIS, as well as Greece, Israel, and Scandinavia, she established in Poland a Centre of Excellence for one of the company’s three core business lines. In her role as President ELT EMEA and Member of the EMEA Executive Board, she worked closely with markets in Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This allowed her to gain deep insights into working with highly diverse teams and to particularly value the importance of inclusive leadership.
On the Polish market, she worked for WSiP SA, where between 2016 and 2018 she was engaged in the M&A process of language schools Empik & Profi-lingua, leading the combined team of both networks and introducing the innovative Disney English program to the Polish market.
In 2019, she joined the PWN Capital Group, taking the position of President in two of the Group’s seven companies, and by the end of the year she became a Management Board Member of the parent company. In spring 2021, she additionally assumed the role of Chief Content Officer. She was also responsible for the partnership with Cambridge University Press.
Since 2022, she has focused on strategic advisory in the education and lifelong learning sector as well as on cooperation with start-ups preparing for international expansion.
For the past 10 years, she has been active as a mentor (including at Akces NCBR and PAIH). She is a Member of the Mentoring Board of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Network, with which she has been involved since 2016, providing pro bono mentoring processes in the BWKR and Next programs as well as workshops for new mentors.
Polish
