Dr hab. Monika Kaczmarek-Śliwińska

Professional experience:

Monika Kaczmarek-Śliwińska is habilitated doctor of media sciences, and an assistant professor at the Faculty of Journalism, Information, and Bibliology at the University of Warsaw. For over two decades, she has been advising and training company management boards, representatives of local governments, public institutions, and other organizations.

She advises in difficult situations when the crisis reaches the media, as well as helps to construct strategies that include preventive actions minimizing the risk of a crisis. She carries out communication audits that indicate the strengths and weaknesses of the organization’s communication, but also potential opportunities and threats.

Author of books and numerous articles about organizational communication and public relations. Coordinator and participant in national and international research projects. Member of the Polish Social Communication Association and the Polish Media-Education Association; expert of the Polish Media-Education Association (KRASP) and a member of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland.

She was the Vice President of the Management Board of the Polish Public Relations Association and served two terms in the Public Relations Ethics Council. She is a court expert in media and social communication (law and ethics of media and public relations, creating public and media images, and offline and online image infringement).

Since 2016, she has been a juror in the most prestigious competition in the Polish public relations industry, “Złote Spinacze” organized by the  Związek Firm Public Relations. She is a laureate of PRoton and Lew PR industry awards in the field of public relations education.
