Francisco Javier Ruiz has been with General Motors (Opel) since 1994. He has held various key positions in handling, logistics, new vehicle introduction management and manufacturing technology management. He led the GM teams designing and implementing Lean material systems at Opel’s newest plant in Gliwice, and led the implementation of the next generation of GM vehicles at plants in the UK. He has extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing, General Motors Manufacturing Systems (GM GMS) and Lean Toolkit based systems, as well as HR development processes for greenfield investments. Currently, General Assembly Manager / Manager for Industry 4.0 Opel Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o.o. He obtained a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the San Luis Potosi State University of Technology (Mexico) and completed post-graduate studies at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow in the field of stochastic and logistic processes based on fuzzy logic, as well as at the Warsaw University of Technology in the field of design..
